Holy cow - I did it! A photo a day for an entire year (with a handful of accidental misses…). And what a year it has been. As I look back on this year all the cities I visited, meals I ate and activities I participated in fade into the background and what stands out are the people. I’ve been so blessed with an incredible family and wonderful friends and this year was a reminder to stop and focus on them. As we ring in 2013, I will try to carry with me the lessons of 2012: hug your family a little tighter, laugh a little longer with friends, hold on to the good memories and love the people who make you who you are.
Thanks for following - have a great 2013!
Because Lib and I are hosting a NYE party tomorrow night, we decided to have our own little early celebration tonight at Il Localino. We just can’t get enough of this place! And, of course, we were each given a rose to take with us (which we promptly covered in some glitter paint we had open from an earlier art project).
I wish Libby lived closer.
Made it back to Atlanta with Libby in tow! We were pretty tired last night, but did sneak in an early dinner at 4th and Swift. Love this place!
Lib and I took a little drive around the neighborhood this evening and found our favorite holiday house. If only I captured the video of the mailbox - it moved, sang, lit up and had a letter to santa in it!
One last look at the Christmas tree before it comes down tomorrow.
Grammie and her buddy watching Dad open a Christmas present. Merry Christmas!
Grammie modeling her PJ pants that Libby made! Lib gave each of us a pair on Christmas eve - such a stylin’ family!
Libby sewing away to make her gifts in time for Christmas!
Headed up to Charlotte today and made it just in time for Libby’s cookie exchange!
So, I didn’t take a picture of my super mellow day or relaxing evening with Amanda in town, but I did take a screen grab of my words with friends game… does that count? No? Really?
A very fun night at One Eared Stag celebrating Jenn’s Birthday!
Glad to have Jenn in town! As our annual Christmas gift to each other, we go out to eat somewhere fun and new. This year we chose The Spence. The food was decent, as was the drink and service. Probably won’t be going back any time soon, but I’m glad we tried it. (Also - I was going to take a better photo of one of our dishes but my camera died - seems a battery charge is important…)
I forgot to take a picture with only 12 days left in the project! Shameful. Downright SHAMEFUL!
Today kicked off a very busy week ahead. Work is picking up. Friends are coming home for the holidays. With a week until Christmas, I’m actually starting to shop. And in that spirit of fun activity, I went over to spend a little time with Lindsay and little Ryder and then hopped over to Fritti for a fun dinner with Amanda and her friend Kat, both in from Charlottesville. Let the holiday fun continue!
